Holmegaard – Mouthblown Glass Since 1825
Holmegaard glassworks’ history began in 1825 when the widow of Count Christian Danneskiold-Samsø received a reply to the now deceased husband’s application to the king to build a glassworks at Holmegaard Mose.
The widow Henriette started the glassworks anyway without her husband. Holmegaard glassworks initially only produced green glass bottles, but gradually expanded to produce drinking glasses.
Today Holmegaard sells a wide selection of wine glasses, decanters and other drinking glasses. They also offer interior items such as candles, candlesticks and various glass vases.
